First Look
All the food was bagged with two ice packs. Everything arrived cold.
All the meals came with directions to heat the meals. The meals can stay in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or you can keep them in the freezer until you are ready to eat. You can heat the meal from its frozen state in just 4 minutes, or it's only 2 mins thawed.
To heat, it's recommended you thaw the meals first, although you can heat them frozen. I received the 10 meal box for review.
Lemon-Garlic Tilapia Capers, broccoli & white rice: I never cook fish, so this is a great way for my husband to have a nice fish dinner.
Steak & Onions, Black Beans + Yellow Rice: I fixed this for my husband and I for dinner. I was really impressed with how well the food tasted. It is far better than any frozen dinner you can buy in the grocery store. The rice came out fluffy and warm and not gummy.
This is a look at one of the finished meals.
Roast Pork Fennel, Cherry Peppers, Olive and Potatoes: I split one of these meals with my children and they loved the pork and potatoes. The cherry peppers and olives had some spices on them that were a bit much for my kids, but there was more than enough food for two kids to share a meal.
This is the finished meal. The pork was very juicy and tasty.
Chicken Rice Sriracha-Ginger Sauce, Cucumbers & Ginger Garlic Rice: These are more of the meals I am saving for my husband. He works outside the home and these meals are great for him to grab for lunch.
Chicken Roulade Apricot-Asparagus Stuffing & Autumn Hash: I can't wait to try this chicken. I am saving these for a night I don't want to cook.
Final Thought: I really enjoyed this subscription. The food was great and I didn't have to cook. This was the easiest meal subscription box that I have tried. I really didn't know what to expect from the dinners after microwaving, but they turned out great and my husband had no idea I just used a microwave.
