My Pretend Place Dress Up Box October 2015 Review + Coupon – Boy Box

When My Pretend Place contacted about reviewing a box this month, I was very excited. I was offered the Gender Neutral box, which featured a chef theme, or the boy theme, which was a cowboy. Since we have the chef's outfit, I choose the boy box. My Pretend Place is a subscription box for children 3-8, that encourages pretend, dress-up, learning and imagination. My Pretend Place‘s mission is to get children crafting, dressing up, pretending and using their imaginations! There are two boxes, a dress up box and a DIY Projects Subscription box. The Dress Up box is $50.00 every 3 month (quarterly) and comes in boy, girl or gender neutral. Each box will contain dress-up costumes, activities or crafts, and other pretend play inspiration. Every three months, you get a big box of goodies and the two off months, you get free bonus materials.
I was sent the Boy Dress Up Box for October 2015. The theme for October is Cowboy!
My Pretend Place always ships in a huge box.
Every box comes with a handle and stickers, so your child can turn the box into a storage suitcase. We save our boxes and store our outfits this way. There was also a general information card and a magnet.
Every My Pretend Place box comes with a letter, which ties in the theme in the box. This month, Lasso Lucy is herding 200 cattle down to Wyoming and she needs your child's help

T and his pony Chestnut.
I love this outfit. I think it's one of my favorite My Pretend Place outfits.
The Mustache! Okay, so T put the mustache on and then took it off before I could take a picture. I had to bribe him with a sucker, but he put it back on for the photo.
How I Spent My Summer Vacation (Dragonfly Books) $7.99 This book is about a little boy who is telling his class about his summer vacation. The story starts with a trip to see his Aunt Fern, then goes on about cowboys, roundups and the like.
Melissa & Doug Harmonica $5.99 This is being saved back for T for Christmas. He loves music and I know he is going to love this.
Kids Cowpoke Lasso There was a little craft included to make your own lasso. I am going to give this as a reward for L doing well on his sight word tests. L loves rope and lassos, but has never made one before.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $51.18, which is just over the cost of the box. I really loved this month's box and T so far like the outfit and book (we read at bedtime). Once you subscribe, you will get the dress up box and then the two following months, your child will get bonus materials in the mail.
