This month's theme is Coastal Seafood Boil.
Everything came in a huge brown box this month. I had no idea what was inside.
First Look
There is a colorful booklet with recipes as well as everything in the box.
There were two recipes in the box: South of the Border Crab Boil, Salty Fried Oysters with Chipotle Aioli and Lobster Mac & Cheese.
Norpro 801 Stainless Steel Seafood Forks/Picks, Silver, Set of 4 $5.24 If you have ever tried to get the last bit of crab or lobster out of the shell, you will know how useful these are to a seafood box.
Hamptons Lane Lobster Claw Seafood Crackers These are cute and useful. These are made of enameled cast-aluminum, so these will crack any shell.
Spiceologist Black Magic Cajun Seasoning $11.95 This is a mix of sweet paprika, spicy cayenne, herbs and garlic. You can use this for a variety of meets. While this is a seafood box, I will most likely use this on beef.
Terrapin Ridge Farms Chipotle Aioli $7.50 This aioli is a mix of spices and chipotle peppers. This is natural, gluten-free sauce that can be used in a variety of dishes. You can also use this as a dipping sauce for onion rings and chips.
Back Forty Beer Company Beer Vinegar $8.00 This contains an award-winning honey brown ale from Truck Stop. My husband loves malt vinegar but I never buy it. I think we need a seafood night and I will surprise him with this.
Gullah Gourmet Crab Boil Seasoning $8,95 This seasoning can be used for boiling a variety of seafood, like crabs, shrimp lobster or crawfish.
The back of the bag has shrimp and crab boilin' lessons
Final Thought: This was a well curated box, Even though I don't eat much seafood, I am really inspired to make a seafood boil. The lobster crackers are really cute and will be useful. One great thing about Hamptons Lane, is you can skip any month you want. To try Hamptons Lane, use this link with the code SUBBOXMOM10.
