Try the World packages everything in this sturdy reusable box. I love saving these boxes to re-purpose for gifts or storage.
When you open the lid, there is a Culture Guide! This guide is an introduction to the culture and contains, recipes, music selections. and popular places to visit there.
They always include a beautiful photo from that location.
For this box, Try the World included a mini guide to throwing a Spanish Tapas Party, complete with recipes, a playlist and games!
There is a two-sided information card included in the box, which lets you know what's in the box.
The back of the information card has a key, the categories are: family business, traditional recipe, support local community, all natural/organic, and sustainably grown.
P. Listo Floral Jams: This organic jam is flavored with Jasmine Petals and made from ingredients from the company's family farm in southeastern Span.
You can use this sweet jam on toast and served with cheese or tea.
El Avion Smoked Hot Paprika I love the cute vintage tin! Paprika is found in many Spanish dishes and this is mad with ripe peppers, for that beautiful red color.
Oleaum Hispania Extra Virgin Olive Oil I am always using olive oil in cooking, so this will be used up right away. This is made in Corodoba, which is an area known for great tasting olive oil. The company picks their olives from orchards that grow in high altitudes and they grind the olives at cold temperatures to preserve the flavor.
Ines Rosales Cortadillo Citrus Crumble Cakes This family owned business uses a 100-year-old recipe to make their cortadillos, which are a cinnamon/lemon pastry filled with cider cream.
Espinaler Canned White Tuna: This white tune or bonito del norte comes from tropical and subtropical waters and is great on a sandwich, in a salad or mixed in a rice dish.
El Navarrico Salsa Tumaca Con Ajo: This salsa, made with tomatoes, olive oil, fresh garlic and salt, can be used as a dip, on toast or in a Catalonian breakfast.
This looks so good and I think it would be a great topping to some grilled chicken.
El Almendro Turron: This has been around over 100 years. This crunchy and sweet treat is made with crushed almonds and is great with coffee or tea.
Final Thought: This box was packed with artisan goodies from Spain. I am excited to try the tuna, Tumaca Con Ajo and jam. What I really enjoy about Try the World is how they introduce you to the culture and customs, as well as send you amazing things to eat.
