First Look. The tissue paper was perfect for a Halloween Box.
There was a welcome note letting subscribers know this box was about Halloween.
The back of the welcome note had a list of everything in the box. For the retail values in this box, I used the prices in the My Bakers Box shop, since only one product had a name brand listed.
The featured recipe for September is “Zombie Push Pops”. I love the brain sitting in the cake batter.
The back of the card had instructions for making the pops, you do need to provide your own cake batter.
Zombie Attack Sugar Dec Ons $3.00 Two sets of Zombie parts were included in the box: 2 brains, 2 skulls and 2 arms.
Orange Cupcake Liners $2.75 This are nice liners and have a decent thickness.
Spiderweb Cupcake Wrappers $6.00 12 laser cut super web cupcake wrappers were included, so you can make some extra spooky treats. These also have silver glitter all over them, you just can't see it with the photo.
This is the wrapper with the liner, SUPER CUTE!
Push Pop Tubes $6.00 Since this recipe was for push pops, it's nice they included four push pop tubes. I have never made push pops, but it doesn't look too hard.
White Candy Writer $1.75 This is much easier to write with than a tube of icing. You can had ghostly eyes mouths with ease.
Chocolate Jimmies $3.00 These add the finishing touches to the push pops and they have a great chocolate taste.
Final Thought: This box had a total of $22.50, which is a bit less than the $25.00 month to month cost. I think this is a cute box for novice bakers like myself and people who like getting a whole kit in the mail. A box of cake mix would have made this box better and I wish there were a few more zombie dec ons. If you want to sign up, use this link with the code COOKIEDOUGH to save $5.00 on your box.
