Birchbox August 2015 Review + Coupon – Birchbox + Candidly Nicole box #Birchbox
Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links.
My Birchbox arrived super early this month, because I chose the guest editor box, the Birchbox + Candidly Nicole box. This box is curated by Nicole Richie, star of the VH1 show, Candidly Nicole. Birchbox is $10.00/month and they send five sample beauty and skin care products, every month. Subscribers can now upgrade to a $30.00 box. The $30.00 box will contain 2 full size beauty or skin care products, along with the five usual products.
When you sign up, you fill out a profile, so Birchbox can customize your box to your preferences. There is a regular monthly box and they also have guest editor boxes. Birchbox releases spoilers and a full reveal of the guest editor boxes, so you will know which box to choose. I actually have two Birchbox subscriptions. This is the box for my newest account.
Here is the details about the Birchbox Point System

4. Refer Your Friends: For every friend you refer to Birchbox, you will earn 50 points
Birchbox ships in a hot pink box, such a bright box in my mailbox.
I loved the box this month. It feels pretty sturdy and has a glossy finish. I am going to save this to story makeup samples in.
First Look: There was a note from Nicole about this month's box, which is fit for a boss lady.
There was a card promoting Nicole's show “Candidly Nicole”. There was a fun fill in the blank note on the back.
dr. brandt® microdermabrasion skin exfoliant $9.75 I love Dr Brandt products and I have been wanting to try this. This sloughs away dead skin for a fresh looking complexion.
LAQA Cheeky Lip Tint in Humble Brag $6.67 This lip color works as a cheek color and a lip color. I love products that do double duty, and this really adds a pop of color.
This is a swatch of the crayon.
OPI Venice Collection A Great Opera-tunity $2.38 I am not sure if I like the correct color. This looks more like a pink/nude color. While it is pretty, I was hoping for a bolder color.
Rene Furterer Lissea Leave-In Smoothing Fluid $3.69 You use this on your damp hair and it protects it from head styling. I straighten my hair daily, so I really wanted to try this product out.
St. Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower Lotion $5.97 This is the one product I was unsure about, when I selected my box. I am very pale and I have never had much luck with self tan products. I am going to try this on a hidden area and see if it works.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $28.46. I am glad I selected this box, especially for the Dr Brandt exfoliant, the LAQA color lip product and the Rene Furterer hair treatment. Birchbox is a great subscription and they have a fantastic point system. If you want to subscribe to Birchbox, you can get 100 Bonus Points when you use the code BBJETBLUE10.
