Awesome Pack June 2015 Review
Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. I received this box for review.
Awesome Pack is a subscription box that sends fun for the whole family. There are two different subscription boxes, a Family box and a Big Kid box. Each box is filled with at least a board game, along with other fun activities and toys specifically picked for your family.
The Awesome Family Pack is made for families with children 15 years old and younger. The box is filled with a family board game and activities for the whole family to do together, along with other great items. The Big Kid Mode is for adults only or children 12 years old and older. The Big Kid boxes are filled with a “higher quality” game, an activity and other extras.
Each box will contain items from the following categories:
- Awesomely Unique Board Games: These are games the whole family can play and enjoy.
- Hands on Fun: Each box includes an activity your whole family can do together. This activity will be fun and educational.
- Big Fun from Little things: Boxes includes small activities like books and puzzles that will be fun for kids.
- Awesome Activity Book and Goodies: A special activity book will be in every box. Each activity book will have pages to journal your family activities along with fun stuff for the whole family.
When you sign up, you fill out a detailed questionnaire about what games your family has, your family composition, likes, dislikes and more. You can even make special requests and they have a referral program. I was excited when Awesome Pack sent me a Family Pack for review.

First Look: There was an information card on top.
The information card had a list of everything in the box with descriptions of each item.
Playroom Entertainment Catch a Falling Star $39.99 This game is about a falling star that has fallen to Earth and you have to help putting all the pieces back together. The game is rated for ages 5 and up, so T will probably not be able to play. This came was made for Canadian markets and it's a new game to me.
Thames and Kosmos Dinosaur Skeleton Dig $9.23 When I first opened the box, I was a bit disappointed that there was another dinosaur item. Once L saw it though, he was so excited to do the project. To do this activity, you make a mold and encase a rubber dinosaur in it, then your child can carve the dinosaur back out.
L was really excited when he saw the project.
Making the mold was a bit tricky, but L had fun. We haven't finished the project yet, but I will try to update with more pictures later.
CBS Mirco Figures: $2.99 each. I estimated the price on these mini figures, because I couldn't find them listed online. These are similar to Legos, but are shaped a bit different.
T really loves Legos, so he was happy to put this with his other blocks.
Each one of the boys got this astronaut guy.
Box Play for Kids Green Superstar Bracelets Toilet Paper Roll Stickers $1.93/each Box Play makes stickers to turn empty boxes, into toys. They make stickers for mac and cheese boxes, cereal boxes and in this case, toilet paper tubes. You put the stickers on the toilet paper tube, make a slit down the side, so it can adjust to any wrist. I think my 3-year-old will like these, but my 6 year old was leery about playing with a toilet paper roll.
The last item in the box was an Awesome Pack activity pack and a bookmark. The activity book is packed with games, activities and even some journaling pages about what your family does.
This is a list of everything in the activity book.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $59.06. This was a nice box, but I felt it needed one or two more items. While the game looks fun, it a bit old for my youngest son. L really loves the dinosaur dig, but wasn't crazy about the superhero stickers and mini figure. I think I might need to adjust my profile for next month.
