June 2015 RocksBox Review + Free Subscription Box
Disclosure: This box was received free for review. This post contains affiliate links.
I haven't received a RocksBox in a while, and it turned out there was a glitch in my account. RocksBox fixed the problem right away, and I received my box the other day! RocksBox is a jewelry subscription box that gives you three pieces to wear at a time, for only $19.00/month.
I have a special code letting you try it FREE for the first month, just read to the end of the review. When you sign up for RocksBox, you fill out a style profile with your preferences, then RocksBox mails you out three pieces based on your profile. You wear your pieces for as long as you want, then send them back in the prepaid envelope. You also give feedback about each piece you receive. The more feedback you give, the better your boxes.
Once you are a subscriber, you also get $10.00 in Shine Spend each month. Shine Spend is money you earn from referrals or subscribing, that you can use to buy the pieces in your box.
RocksBox ships in a reusuable polymailer bag. When it's time to return your items, your just put them back int the bag, add the shipping label and reseal.
Everything comes in a little box.
First Look: The information card is always personalized with your name.
The information card has pictures and descriptions of each piece. If you wish to purchase one of your pieces, you can save 20% off the manufacturer's retail price and pay the “insider's price”. After you get your box, you can log onto your online account and review each piece. You can request specific pieces and give detailed feedback about your box.
Trina Trunk Medallion Collar Necklace in Turquoise Insiders Price: $126.00 While gold isn't my first choice for jewelry, this necklace is gorgeous. Each medallion is filled with turquoise and sea green stones. I think turquoise is a popular color this summer and this would go nicely with a white top or dress.
CC Skye Station Ring in Gold Insider Price $54.00 I think the ring is supposed to make a V, but I love this look better. It reminds me of the Star Trek badge symbol (I'm a nerd). The encrusted rhinestones give this ring a glam look.
Slate Double Point Studs Insider Price $30.00 These studs are small, dainty and they have little rhinestones in the center. They are pretty affordable at only $30.00 and they go nicely with the necklace.
Final Thought: I missed my RocksBox, so it was so fun to get a new box. I really enjoyed the pieces this month. They are not something I would normally buy, which is the best part. I love trying new fun pieces that compliment and outfit, without having to purchase them. I can't wait till my next box.
