What's in the box? Boxes contain a variety of memorabilia and collectibles, some old, some new, some handmade, some fanmade. Among the items you may find are exclusive comics and t-shirts, jewelry, stationery, books, autographs, photos and much more. And each month, you'll get a handy pop culture newsletter that will tell you what movies are coming out, what's up for streaming and binging, and what conventions or events are out there that you may want to attend.
How do I cancel or skip? You can cancel or skip right from your account.
FanMail shipped in a little white box with a blue FanMail sticker.
First Look
The theme for this month is “Legends & Lore”, the front of the card has pictures and a description of everything in the box.
The back of the card features new tv shows, pop culture cons, books and video games that are going to be released.
How To Train Your Dragon “Toothless” T-Shirt $15.00 This shirt was created by FanMail and is pretty cute, although I would have preferred a more “girly” shirt. The initial shirts that were sent out were a unisex size, but now they have sizes S-4XL.
The Legend of Zelda Crest Logo Necklace $4.00 I couldn't find this exact necklace, so I found something similar on Amazon. While I am not a Legend of Zelda fan, this is a pretty cool looking necklace.
This is a close up of the necklace.
“Sorcerer;s Stone” Soap by Amethyst Soap $7.99 This 4 oz soap looks like the Amethyst Soap, but it's made with several great oils (jojoba, apricot, coconut, avocado and kukui) to keep your skin soft and moisturized. This smells nice, just like a floral shop. I like the look of the soap so much, I will probably just keep it for decoration.
“Game of Thrones” Purple Wedding Invitation: $10.00 est. I guessed on the price based on prices of similar items in subscription boxes and Etsy. I might be the only person who doesn't watch Game of Thrones. I do have a print of Bella and Edward's wedding invitation (Twilight), and I really love it, so I could see this being popular with fans.
“Once Upon a Time” and “The Hobbit” Buttons $2.00 My mother is a huge Once Upon a Time fan, so that button will go to her. My husband loves the Hobbit, so I will give that one to my husband.
“The Hobbit” Thranduil Brooch $ 8.08 This is a replica of the brooch the Elven King Thranduil wears in The Hobbit. This piece is stunning and just the type of item I want in a geek subscription for women.
Hogwarts Button and “Harry Potter” Nail Decal by BMK Designs $6.00 (nail decals) $1,00 (button) Oh so cute! I love these little nail decals, especially the glasses and lightening bolt. I am giving the other two buttons to family, but this one is MINE!
Final Thought: This box has a total value of $53.08. I did have guesstimate on the some of the values, but I thought this box met the promised $50.00 value. I thought this was a really great box and I am excited to see what future boxes hold! Boxes are sold out for June, but on July 2nd, subscriptions will open. You can check out FanMail at this link. Deal: Receive a free pop culture t-shirt in your first box when you sign up for a 6-month or 1-year prepaid subscription! (While supplies & sizes last.)
“July Theme: Out of This World! We will deliver a stellar array of items from across the galaxies!
Current subscribers have until June 30th to skip July's shipment, and we will open up available spots to new subscribers on July 2!”
