First Look
The theme for February is Sweet and Spicy.
Inside the information booklet is a list of all the item in the box and a detailed description about each company.
Tumbador Chocolates dulce de chile chocolate: $3.33 This chocolate is amazing! The milk chocolate is so rich, and it has a slight crunch to it. It will be hard to not to eat the entire thing.
A&B American Style Pepper Sauce $6.00 This is made with Red Fresno Chili Peppers and doesn't have any sugar or artificial preservatives. This looks like a great pepper sauce and I am going to try it with a chicken recipe I use. This is recommended to be used on oysters, shrimp, eggs and burgers.
Dude, Sweet Chocolate Break Up Potion Chocolate Sauce $9.00 Chocolate sauce can be used for so many things. This one is made with bourbon and agave.
Wild Friends Nut Butters Honey Sunflower Butter This is a peanut butter like substance, but made with sunflowers. This is completly nut free, so even my 5 year old can eat this. He has never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, so I am going to make him one with this. This is also organic, kosher, dairy free.
The Jam Stand: You’re My Boy Blueberry Bourbon Jam $10.00 We have had The Jam Stand products before, and my husband has enjoyed them. My husband loves jams and jellies. He is going to take this to work for lunch. This is made with blueberries, bourbon and vanilla.
Fire Roasted Jalapenos: $6.95 While I love spicy food, I am not particularly fond of jalapenos. These are roasted and marinated in soy sauce, lime juice and other spices. i am going to probably give this to someone who would love it.
Everything always comes in a reusable red bag. These bags are great for grocery trips.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $44.27. There were no recipe cards included in this months box. This is a major disappointment for me, because I use them to figure out what I am going to make with the ingredients. I am not a fabulous cook, so the recipes made it easier. I am going to reach out to them and see if these were left out by mistake or if they have made a change. I hope if they don't include them in the future, that they lower the price point a bit. I did enjoy the various food items in the box. I won't eat the jalapenos, but the rest looks great. If you want to try BiteBox, click HERE and use the code forme to save $10.00.
