Every box comes with an information card. The cover of the booklet this month has a heart with the words “I love you” written all over it.
There were two crafts this month: Make your own soy candle and make your own candy melts.
Candy Melts: I have used Wilton candy melts before, and they are really easy to use. For this project, you melt the different colors and pour them in the tray. The tray has different hearts and xoxos.
Soy Candle: The second project makes a soy candle. Embellished Boxes included the soy wax, scented oil, votive holder, wick and die. I couldn't wait to try this, so I made this craft first.
The first step was to glue the wick to the glass. I tried super glue first but then used hot glue.
I melted the wax, added the dye & oil, then poured it in the votive holder. You let this sit for two hours.
This is the finished candle. I trimmed wick and it's ready to burn.
Final Thought: I really enjoy Embellished Boxes, both crafts were really cute. I loved making the candle, and I can't wait to make the candy. At $12.95 with free shipping, this box is a great bargain. I am surprised they can ship from Canada with free shipping.
