Loot Crate is my husband's only subscription, so it's always a fun day when it arrives.
I already knew what was in the box, but it is always fun to take that first look.
The theme for February is Play. Loot Crate's information guide is a mini magazine full of interviews, articles and descriptions of everything in the box.
This month, Loot Crate featured a history of game controllers. I feel a bit old, as I remember playing on the Atari 2600 Joystick! Atari remains my favorite game system.
Ready Player One: A Novel
Hexbug Zombie Scarab
When you turn off the lights, the scarab glows. Our cat had a fun time with this.
Rock Paper Scissors Dice Game: This is a Loot Crate exclusive. Our family loves Rock Paper Scissors (I tend to win). I think the dice version takes a bit of fun out of the game, but I guess this will keep my 5 year old from making up gestures to win. These dice are also used for the Loot Crate board game.
KidRobot Mini Munny 4 “ $10.00 This little vinyl figure comes with 3 wipe off markers, so you can make him look many different ways. I wish I had an ounce of artistic ability, because I love all the custom vinyl figures people create. You can customize your own Munny and enter to win one of 11 prize categories from Loot Crate.
Here is my little summer girl.
Exclusive Looter Edition SUPERFIGHT Card Game $15.00 This may be worth a bit more, because it's has exclusive cards, but I am using the base card pack price. You use the various cards to great your own ultimate fighter, then debate with your friends who would win in a fight. I need to have a party soon, so we can play this.
Waka-Waka Poster: This poster was created by Artist Manny Peters' and is a blueprint design of the Pac-Man Atari game.
Exclusive Firefly Online Premium Ship Unlock Code: There is a code on the back to unlock the exclusive Loot Crate “Overland” transport, for the Firefly online game. My husband and I don't play Firefly, so this won't be used.
This month's pin had a game board on it. We have several pins just laying around. What do you do with your Loot Crate pins?
Crate Packing Game: Crate Packing is a Loot Crate exclusive board game. The objective is to collect 5 specific items for your crate: t-shirt, 8bit glasses, Funko, poster, and a button. You use the Rock, Paper Scissors dice to decide who will go first and to determine how many spaces to move. My husband and I love board game, so we are going to have fun playing this.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $48.63 and that is not counting the poster, Firefly game code and the dice. I really liked this month's box, but my husband thought it was a bit light. Since this is my husbands box, his opinion matters more. My husband is very excited about the March 2015 spoilers (You can check them out HERE).
