Julep Maven was one of my first subscriptions, and I don’t see myself ever canceling. I love all the colors and the polish lasts a long time. Julep always has such great sales, I feel like I am getting a good deal. The theme for November was The Friendsgiving Collection. 
I recently upgraded from the old subscription to “My Maven”. I love the freedom of picking out my own box. I subscribe for 3 month increments, so I get a great value.
First Look
Vanilla Cream Caramels: There were two included in the box. C got these as I am not a caramel person.
There was a card with this month’s theme and inside, they talked about their new mascaras. I personally have too many mascaras, so I didn’t get one.
There was a booklet with all kinds of new Holiday sets. Many of these are in the secret store right now!

Fazia Bombshell Finish: Shimmer $11.20 This is a beautiful color and is described as a liquid garnet shimmer. I couldn’t wait to try this one out!
Devon Classic with a Twist Finish: Shimmer $11.20 This is a slate grey with fuchsia microshimmer. I haven’t tried this out yet, but it is a beautiful color.
Julep Eye Glider Smoky Plum $12.80 Okay, I know I complain every time I get an eyeliner, but this one is purple! I had to try this one out. This is a beautiful purple color. It’s dark but you can tell it’s not black.
This is Fazia! I love it! Please try not to judge the manicure. I had about 2 minutes to do this, as my 2 year was running around. My secret to a fast mani, Seche Vite! This is a quick drying top coat that seals in your mani. It also makes your nails look shiny and glossy. I love this and I feel like I am cheating on Julep, but it is such a great top coat!. Final Thought: I love Fazia and think it makes a beautiful manicure. I am excited to try Devon! I ordered November It Girl and added Sawyer. It should be here Thursday. I can’t wait!! I’ve been eyeing Blakey since I signed up in May and I found it in the Secret Store, so I grabbed the Northern Lights and added Petra. I’m addicted!! I ordered the sexy scarecrow set a cpl weeks ago and fell in love those eyeliners- like butter. Boy am I stoked to get these orders!! I’ve loved every Julep product. But I’m not sure of the difference between “my maven” and “a maven”? I pay $19.98 a box and I’m biiled monthly. Totally worth the $20 a month.
If you joined before December (I think) last year, you are grandmothered in and pay $19.99/month. Julep introduced the “my maven” program, I think in December 2013. You can now customize each box how you like, instead of just picking It Girl, Classic with a twist etc. Boxes are now $24.99 for my mavens but you can pay $19.99/month if you subscribe 3 months at a time. I upgraded from my regular maven account to my maven so I can customize. You still keep your ability to skip if you upgrade.
