Threaded Canvas August 2014 Review

Threaded Canvas sent me this box to review. Threaded Canvas was started by a group of art lovers from Indiana, who wanted to spread the love of art around the world. For $23.00 a month (plus shipping), Threaded Canvas sends three custom art shirts, an art print and three art collectibles. The t-shirts are printed using a special hybrid screen printing technique, which leaves the shirts soft, but the art still stands out with vibrant colors. The shirts also come in a variety of sizes and fit for women, men and children. If you prefer sleeveless or v neck shirts, you can upgrade for those.
The Details:
Cost: $23.00/month, $59.00 for 3 months, $216.00 for 12 months.
Shipping: $7.00/month. Threaded Canvas ships world wide! Shipping costs vary with what country you live in.
What's in the box? Each month we include three art tees, one art print, and three small art collectibles. We scour the internet in search of the most elite artists from all over the world. Each artist is unique in their abilities but they all share one unique trait: they create phenomenal works of art.
When does the box ship? Boxes ship out around the middle of the month and take between 2 and 4 days to arrive domestically.

Threaded Canvas shipped in a white box. The lid had a decorative print. The box shipped by USPS.
First Look
Threaded Canvas included a two sided card that told you about the items in the box.
All the shirts were listed on the card. It would have been helpful to have the color of the shirt listed, just to make it easier to identify each shirt. There are several size and fits to choose from, I chose the I chose the regular fit t-shirts.
Florent Bodart aka Speakerine: “Burning Circles” Tee (Retail value $25.00) I love black and this shirt has a pretty pattern. It reminds me of the pictures I made as a child. You would color various areas of a piece of paper, then color over with black and scratch in a design. I did like the quality of the shirt as well. The shirt was soft and the fit was true to size.
Hector Mansilla Gonzales aka Againstbound: “Lotus” Tee (Retail Value $25.00) Another pretty shirt. I don't know the meaning behind this shirt, but I will wear it.
Reze aka Rejagulu: “Water Colorink” Tee: I am not exactly sure the color of the shirt. It seems like a light grey color. The design has a mix of pink, blue and black colors.
Christopher Wilke aka Wiklke: Horse Art Print (Retail value $25.00) I didn't get the horse in the title, until after filming my unboxing video. This what appears to be men in radiation suits playing horse. Very interesting and my husband is taking this to work.
Postcard: “Dive” by Vlad Isac $3.00: This is a really pretty postcard of a woman looking at the sky and space maybe? It's pretty regardless. This is going on my desk.
Bookmark Design: Sarah Marie Hawkins $3.00 This is a girl in front of a cherry blossom tree (I think that is the tree). I can always use another bookmark.
Every month, Threaded Canvas sends a new button. This month's button is titled “Lost” by Florin. This is an interesting button with a diver on it, with the word lost.
Final Thought: This was a great box. I am really impressed that you get three t-shirts for $20.00, much less get all these other goodies. My one suggestion would be to put the color of the t-shirt with the name, for easier identification. The t-shirts are really nice quality. They washed well, are soft, and fit true to size. If you appreciate art, love t-shirts or even just curious about this box, check out Threaded Canvas HERE.

Wow that’s a great deal…I’m signing up for this one thanks to your review.
I have subscribed to threaded canvas for three months. That’s all of the boxes, so far. I’m always impressed with the quality of the shirts. They’re 100% cotton and the fabric isn’t flimsy. I also love most of the prints. The ones that I don’t love, I like enough to wear them. I usually like the other things in the box. I really love the fact that they are helping relatively unknown, but talented artists get noticed. They are a little slow shipping the boxes, but it’s worth the wait. I believe that they got a lot more subscribers than they expected and they are playing catch up. They still have a few bugs to work out on their site, but when I had a problem after my first box, I sent an email and their customer service rep took care of me within a day and he was polite and professional. I believe this might turn out to be my favorite subscription if I can justify buying three t-shirts every month. They would make great gifts if I can let them go.
I have had a TERRIBLE experience as have several others as I am finding out. I ordered and paid for three boxes thus far. And thus far, I have nothing to show for it. The first box they sent was the wrong sixe. The XL (which I ordered for my husband) were so large that someone had to be a size XXXL to fit into them. After sending them an email and asking if I could return it on my dime they said yes. That was the last I have heard from them.
So begins my nightmare with this company. I sent the T-shirts with a return receipt and they have received them. I was never sent a different size nor was I refunded my money nor was I credited for another month. So I’m out 27.97 dollars for the 1st box. The second box which was the November box I just got – IN DECEMBER. **AGAIN** the size is wrong. Even though they said the size had been changed and I had changed the size in my online account also. I have the email to prove that they said the size had ALREADY been changed. So these too are a thousand times too big. UNWEARABLE.
I still have not received my December box although I have been charged for it already. And there is not tracking number nor has it left the warehouse.
I have sent over 25 emails to them to no avail.
They have the world’s worst customer service. Not to mention they allow anyone to post on their facebook page anymore. They did, but too many people were complaining so they left 2 comments (positive ones) on and deleted the others.
My take from it is this: DO NOT OREDER FROM THIS COMPANY. You will be overcharged and ignored.
WORST. COMPANY. EVER.
Only received 5 out of 12 boxes for a years subscription (paid shipping, I’m in the UK).
Have received a bunch of other things I ordered from America and from all around the world, really, so at a loss why their product is unique in not reaching me.
A couple of the designs cracked in the wash too, but really that’s overshadowed by fact we have received less than half the order and that customer service can’t be bothered to respond to customer queries.
That’s horrible!
