Ipsy ships in cute pink envelopes. These are great to reuse.
First Look: I loved the bag this month. I also redeemed my points for Jouer Lip Gloss
The the theme for this month is Pretty in Paradise. I could really use a vacation to a nice Hawaiian Island right now.
The bag this month was designed by Rebecca Minkoff. I haven't heard of her before, but I like some of the stuff online. This bag is super cute and already in my purse. I love to use my Ipsy bags as makeup storage.
Jouer Lip Gloss in Bare Rose: I used my points for this gloss. This isn't sticky at all and has a great color.
NYX Butter Gloss $5.00: I love NYX glosses. I actually have several, but none in this color. This is in Creme Brulee
Dream Beachy Wave Spray by Marc Anthony $3.25: This gives your hair soft beachy waves. I used to wear my hair curly, but it has gradually become more straight. I was going to trade this, but I might look for my defuser and try this out.
SKINN Cleansing System $7.00: This cleans off your makeup and all the other dirt and grime on your face. I tried this out and I really liked it. You can also use it as a mask.
Be A Bombshell Mascara Lash Out $15.00 This is described as A rich pigmented mascara with a lengthening formula that offers a multidimensional look.” If you have seen spoilers online, you have probably heard about the smell. I am not going to lie, it does stink, but it wasn't as strong as I thought. Be A Bombshell released a statement that the smell is due to an absent of a fragrance. This is supposed to be better for people with sensitive eyes. I don't normally have any sensitivities, so I decided to try it out.
I put on the mascara and I felt it was clumpy and didn't do much to improve my lashes. After a few minutes, my eyes began to burn. I have never experienced a reaction to makeup. This mascara is a big thumbs down. Ineffective and irritating.
Jesse's Girl Liquid Eyeliner $6.99: This is a waterproof eyeliner. I would tell you what I thought, but it made a huge mess. This dripped all over my hand, as soon as I removed the cap. I thought it might be buildup, so I tied again over the sink. I carefully removed the cap and it sprayed/exploded all over my sink and me. I did manage to draw a line on my hand to test this, and it bled out. This was another thumbs down.
Final Thought: The total value of this bag was $37.25. If you subtract the toxic mascara and the exploding eyeliner, the value drops to $15.25. I did love my NYX gloss and the SKINN cleanser. The bag is also really cute. I don't estimate a value on the bags normally, but I do love the bags. This bag was disappointing to me since I couldn't use two of the products. I do love Ipsy overall. They always pack a high value, and this is the first time I have ever had issue with the products. If you want to try Ipsy, click HERE.
UPDATE (7/5/14) I contacted Ipsy about my defective products and they sent me 4 new products. I will note, I contacted Ipsy with my personal email, not my blogger email. I would never use my blogger status, to take advantage of a situation. I was sent the following items:
Be a Bombshell Last Call Girl Lip Gloss $14.00
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color in Plum $26.00
Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara $8.48 (sample size)
Jesse's Girl Liquid Eyeliner $6.99- I tried this and it worked great and didn't drip or spray.
They sent me $55.47 worth of products! Wow, I am really blown away at Ipsy's generosity. They went above and beyond to make everything right.

My Jessie’s Girl Eyeliner did the same thing. I opening it, luckily over my sink, and it just began running everywhere – my entire sink basin was black. It wouldn’t stop running, so I never even got a chance to test it before tossing it.
I loved the bag as well. It is very fun for summer and I will be reusing the bag for sure as a makeup bag or storage. It sucks the eyeliner exploded everywhere and could not be used. This was my first ipsy bag and even though I do feel it was worth $10 dollars It was a little disappointing. I do not think they totally customize the items for each person because I got two things I will probably never use. And I saw a few people who got the exact same items I did. But, hopefully it will get better.
That’s too bad about your Jesse’s Girl liner. I received in a past bag and it’s my favorite eyeliner pen!
I love my NYX butter gloss…
