My son L, gets this box, and loves it.  As soon as the green box appears on the doorstep, he gets excited.

The theme this month was Farm Fun.  The projects this month was My Barnyard Friends and my Farm Plot.

On the back of the information card, there is always a cut out of Steve the Kiwi Bird and a friend.  There is also a sticker to add to your poster.  When you get your first crate, you will get a poster that you put stickers on.  You will also get a pair of scissors with your first box.

Kiwi Crate always includes Kiwi Crate Magazine.  The magazine always includes fun activities and crafts ideas.

Kiwi Crate included instructions to create a piggy bank.

There was also a recipe for how to make whipped butter.  This sounds like a fun project.

There was also veggie painting.  This is a fun thing to do with veggies.  L doesn't like getting his hands dirty, but loves to stamp.

At the end of the book, there is a chicken cutout, to make a weather vain.

My Farm Plot

The first activity was to make a farm plot.  This was a fun activity that let L grow grass and radishes.

Kiwi Crate tell parents on the front of each instruction book, how messy the project is and much grownup involvement is needed.  My Farm Plot had a medium on the messiness scale and medium on the grownup involvement.

Kiwi Crate includes step by step instructions of the project.

L loved making the project.  L added the dirt and then you add water to make it expand.

The second project was to make finger puppets.

This had a low parental involvement and low messiness.

The instructions shows step by step on how to make each puppet.

L actually needed more help with this one, than the last one.  He completed all the puppets, but needed some help.

Final Thought:  Our family loves Kiwi Crate!  This is the one subscription box, that we will keep as long as possible.  This month's farm theme was fantastic.  It has taken me a week or two to post this review.  Since we completed the project, L's grass has grown 3-4″ and the radishes are starting to sprout.  This is such a fun box.  If you want to try Kiwi Crate, click HERE and you can save $10.00.  That means you can try Kiwi Crate for $9.95.
