Boxtera is a snack food company, which brings delicious healthy snacks to your door, for $19.95 a month. Boxtera contacted me and gave me this box to review. Boxtera was started by RaeAnn L'Hommedieu in 2012. She was always on the hunt for delicious snacks, so developed Boxtera. Boxtera began by sending a box of healthy foods from small brands across America. After listing to customer feedback, Boxtera modified their company. Now, Boxtera sends five full size bags of snack for $19.95 a month. All of Boxtera's snacks feature no high fructose corn syrup, no trans fats, no artificial flavors, no artificial sweeteners, and no artificial colors. I love to snack, so I was excited to try Boxtera

Seared Pork Loin with Chipotle Hibiscus BBQ Sauce Recipe |
Every month, Boxtera includes a featured recipe, using at least one of the snacks in the box. This month, Boxtera included a recipe for seared pork loin with chipotle hibiscus bbq sauce. Boxtera featured their snack, dried hibiscus flowerettes. This meal looks really tasty and seems very easy to make. I plan to try this soon.
Pub Mix (Salty) |
This is a great mix. What I like about this mix is that it wasn't to hard or stale. The snack was evenly salted as well. This was my husband C's favorite snack of the box.

Hibiscus Flowerettes (sweet) |
I was a bit nervous about trying this, after I read the name. These are dried hibiscus blossoms and they taste chewy and sweet like a fruit. I was pleasantly surprised.

Tangerine Slices (Sour) |
These are tangy and sweet tangerine slices. Think of these as a orange slice (those gummy ones), only natural. These tasted like candy to me. I eat too much junk food, and I would choose these easily over candy.

BBQ Banana Chips |
These banana chips have a sweet and spicy BBQ flavor. These were my favorite snack in the box. What I really loved about these is they were crunchy but not difficult to chew.

These are crunchy and lightly seasoned Kabukim and Sesame coated peanuts. Kabukim is crunchy coated peanuts. These are commonly found in Southwest Asia.

Final Thought: I was really impressed with these snacks from Boxtera. All five snacks were really tasty. What I liked best is that each snack tasted very fresh and not hard to chew. Dried fruit can be very tough, but Boxtera's tangerine and hibiscus snacks were very easy to chew. Boxtera also has an online marketplace.
