The Tasteful Pantry Review and Giveaway
The Tasteful Pantry
My son has a peanut allergy and it is almost impossible to find a food subscription that doesn't include nuts. I found a subscription box that caters to your “free from diet”. I was really excited to try
The Tasteful Pantry, because I wouldn't have to worry about any peanut products in the box.
The Tasteful Pantry send a
customized box of snacks/foods based on your diet. You can choose dairy free, gluten free, vegan, soy free and nut free. One of the really cool things, is you can mix and match any of the diets. You can choose nut free, dairy free and vegan for one box. If you don't have any dietary preferences, you don't have to select any of them. Once you find a snack you like, you can buy more in their shop.
A brief history:
The Tasteful Pantry was founded by Jennifer Wang. Years ago, Jennifer has persistent “digestive discomfort”. After much searching, she found relief by eliminating gluten, dairy, onions, and almonds. The big challenge started, when she started to shop. It was very difficult to find foods that not only fit her diet, but tasted good too. The Tasteful Pantry was born.

Since I wanted to review this box for my son L (age 4), I am including his opinions as well.

The Box |
Since my box was a review, my box was shipped inside another box. All subscription boxes will ship in the box above. I like how big their logo is on the box.

Envelope of Information Cards |
Every product in the box has a little information card included in the envelope. Each little card tells you about the product and what diets it fits with.
|
The Cards |
I like that there are individual cards for every products. You can keep the cards you like and throw away the ones you don't like.

The Whole Box |
Final Thought: L and I really liked this box. I like that I can get a food subscription box, without the worry of a peanut. I usually give the retail price for each item, but I decided not to do it this time. Many of the items are sold in bulk, and thus difficult to get an accurate price. I am not that concerned with the price, because this is a specialty curated box. The true value of this box lies with how it is customized for the subscriber. There are 120 possible different combination of diets, that The Tasteful Pantry can curate. This is not a box that is slapped together quickly. Each box is hand selected based on the subscribers preferences. I would personally pay a good amount of money, to have that personal service.
I love that they can accommodate so many different diets. I can't image the time it would take, to select snacks in a grocery store, if you had multiple free from diets. This is a big time saver for so many people. In addition, if you have been to a grocery store lately, you know food isn't cheap. I recently talked with a friend, who's child needed a gluten free diet. She stated, she spent a long time, trying to find the right food in the grocery store, only to throw away a $7.00 item, because it did not taste good. This is a great box to try a variety of foods at an affordable price! To sign up for The Tasteful Pantry, click
