Pijon Box Review September 2013

Pijon is a college subscription box that sends hope and love to college students.  This is not just a care package, because Pijon gives back to Project Night Night.  Project Night Night donates over 25,000 care packages each year to home children.  These care packages are filled with a security blanket, a book (age appropriate), and a stuffed animal, all tucked in a canvas bag.  I was very interested in reviewing a box for Pijon, not only for their boxes, but because they give back.  As a former social worker, I think it is wonderful Pijon chooses to give back to homeless children.  Pijon's subscription boxes are $29.00 a month and are filled with 5-6 products with a $40-$55.00 value.

The Box
I love the cute bird on the Pijon boxes.  Their logo is very unique.
First Look
I love the beautiful blue tissue paper.  The box was a nice size and a bit heavy, which is always a good thing.
The Information Booklet
Every box comes with a full color booklet.  Every item in the box is shown with a description.
Kind Fruit & Nut Bars $3.00 for 2
I received nut delight and almond & coconut.  These are packed with healthy fats that keep you going all day without making you gain the freshman 15.
Essie Fill the Gap Nail Treatment $10.00
This is made with nutra-keratin and bamboo extract.  It fills in the gaps and imperfections in your nail, leaving you with the perfect base for your polish.
Dorset Simply Delicious Museli $4.68
This is a blend of roasted hazelnuts, brazil nuts, raisins, dates, and moreish flakes.  I have never had Museli but it looks good.  This is a nice healthy choice for breakfast.  It gives your body fuel and energy.
Caress Velvet Bliss Blackberry and Vanilla Essence  $1.67
What college student doesn't need to shower/bath?  This is perfect for a college student and leaves your body silky soft.  It smells great too.
Unreal Candy Unjunked $6.61
These are chocolate covered peanuts, but there is no corn syrup, no preservatives, and nothing artificial.  These are like peanut M and M's, only healthier.
Grab Green 3 in 1 Laundry Detergent $7.15
I love laundry pods, but they are expensive!  There is enough for 24 loads in this pack.  No one likes doing laundry, but at least these pods make it easier.
Wallies Peal and Stick Chalkboard $5.00 (not including chalk)
These are fun to slap on the wall of your dorm or on the door.  Pijon included a piece of chalk too.  Write notes to your roommate, or a to-do list for you!
Muji Lined Kraft Notebook 75 cents
This is made with recycled paper.  This is perfect for a college student, for notes, thoughts, sketches and ideas.
The Whole Box

Final Thought: The total value for this box was $38.86.  While it's not exactly, $40.00, it's close enough for me, especially since it only costs $29.00!  This is a great subscription box.  There is a high value, full size useful products and the company gives back to children.  This would also be a great box for someone in the military, stationed overseas.  You can check out Pijon HERE.
