This company is located in Eugene, Or. This is a bowl made from 100% re-purposed bamboo chopsticks. The chopsticks are gathered from restaurants, sanitized at high temperatures and dyed naturally with black tea. This basket can be used to hold keys, fruit, vegetables, or it can be used as a colander. It can be washed with soap and water. It also folds flat for easy storage.
About the Designer/Artist: Bryan creats beautiful designs by up cyclying everyday items. Bryan was living in China when he thought of the idea to create beautiful household items from the durable bamboo of chopsticks. He wants to raise awareness of the 25 million bamboo plants cut down each year, because of chopstick waste.

San Juan Island Sea Salt is from San Juan Island, Wa. This local salt is made from the island waters. This salt is dried, only using the sun to transform the saltwater into sea salt. I love the bottom of the jar, it lists ingredients: Sea Salt.
About the Designer/Artist: Brady Ryan grew up around San Juan Island. He developed San Juan Island Sea Salt in 2008. When he isn't managing his sea salt business, he is working with the Ballard Bee Company learning honeybee tending.
